About the Book
She’s a work in progress . . .

Bailey Meredith has had it. As an assistant at a prestigious interior design firm, she’s tired of making coffee and filing invoices. She’ll do just about anything to get out from under the paperwork and into the field for real experience. Then she sees an ad for a job that seems too good to be true.

He’s a fixer upper . . .

Wilder Aldrich knew she would be perfect for the crew the moment he saw her. His hit home improvement show only hired the best, and Bailey had potential written all over her. It isn’t just her imaginative creativity and unmatched work ethic that grabs his attention. There’s just something about her.

With chemistry on screen, it’s only a matter of time before sparks fly behind the scenes as well. But with Bailey’s jaded views on romance and a big secret that could destroy Wilder and everyone he cares about are either of them willing to risk it all for love?

Dear Readers,

You should really just buy this book and read it! I love it and that’s enough of a review for you to do as I suggest and read it!! Please !!

Love, Elle

Hmm, Yea I guess that’s not going to work! If only it were that easy. I love Laura’s books. It’s really that simple, I love some more than others but her writing just gets me. Or do I just get her writing? I don’t know really but what I do know is that Playing House is adorably amazing and hit me in my interest. I’m decorating challenged and therefore watch what I cannot do. Yes , I watch HGTV and stalk Pinterest to figure out what I don’t know, so this book was amazing to me.

I usually do a super detailed review of characters and the plot line but I refuse to give away too much about this read.

Meet Bailey Meredith natural-born worrier and ready to take a risk. Bailey is ready to put her talent to use as an Interior Designer and to see her full potential come to fruition so she applies to be an Interior design assistant, it’s better than her everyday job as a personal assistant/coffee runner. What happens after that  is amazing on its own !!

Wilder is the host of a home improvement show with his co-host Waverly. Wilder is such a good guy who is held down by baggage of the past and present, that baggage seems to get heavier when Wilder sets his eyes on Bailey and knows he wants her. Waverly is a royal pain in the butt !!  In honor of the Texas location for this book lets just say that Waverly is 3 gallons of crazy in a 2 gallon bucket. Yes, I just said that!!

A romance between Bailey and Wilder does develop but not instantly, you get a lot of story with these two and I really happen to like that in this instance. Sometimes it’s not just the homes that need a makeover, sometimes its us and the way we live and love in life !!

This book had me smiling and cussing at the same time. There are characters I loved and characters I loved to hate. This book has to be my favorite out of all of Laura’s books! If you’ve happened to have read a Laura Chapman book I can promise that this one is different from any of her others.
