‘Tis the season for love . . .
Sophie DiRossi loved growing up in Harmony Harbor. But after fleeing in disgrace many years ago, it is the last place she wants to be. Left homeless by a fire, she’s forced to go back to the small coastal town that harbors a million secrets, including her own. Sophie sees this secret reflected every day in her daughter’s blue eyes-and she must keep it hidden from the only man she has ever loved.

Sophie’s return is a shock for everyone . . . especially Liam Gallagher. The firefighter had some serious feelings for Sophie-and seeing her again sparks a desire so fierce it takes his breath away. Now Liam will do whatever it takes to show Sophie that they deserve a second chance at love, even if everything they’ve concealed threatens to keep them apart. In this special town at this special time of the year, Sophie and Liam can only hope for a little holiday magic . .

Mistletoe Cottage is absolutely one of the cutest and quirky novels that I’ve read in awhile. It put me in the Christmas spirit in the middle of September and had me giggling periodically throughout the novel. There were plot twists that I never saw coming, not to mention a different type of holiday plot that I’ve never seen done before. It was an absolute pleasure to read and now has me itching to read other Debbie Mason novels.

Mistletoe Cottage tells the story of Sophie DiRossi and her journey back home to Harmony Harbor. Sophie has a lot of good memories in Harmony Harbor and perhaps its just what she and her little girl Mia need to start over. Sophie is such a strong young woman, she’s been a single mother trying to get past life’s hurdles one at a time but unfortunately she hasn’t made it back home unscathed. With the help of her loud and boisterous Italian family Sophie is able to get back on her feet and possibly just get the love back that got away so long ago.

Liam Gallagher has always been a very honest and honorable type of man. He always does the right thing, even when it causes him problems. Maybe if he hadn’t waited til Sophie was 18 to tell her how he felt he would have never lost her. Liam has his own demons that he’s battling now and his return to Harmony Harbor was unexpected but the arrival of Sophie DiRossi was even more unexpected. With the help of Liam’s interfering Irish Great Grandmother it may be the best Christmas he’s had in awhile.

Mistletoe Cottage is not only a sweet and quirky novel it definitely has a story that will pull at your heart strings. Ms. Mason was able to intertwine the sorrow and heartache of the past with the hope and forgiveness of the future, which made for a heart warming story that I couldn’t put down.

I would highly recommend buying this book to help get you in the holiday spirit.

I give Mistletoe Cottage 4 stars!!
